The Water Department maintains five wells, five water tanks, three booster pump stations, over 300 fire hydrants, over 38 miles of waterlines, and serves over 1600 customers.  One well is separately located in the Hunters Glen subdivision and serves over 50 homeowners and the Valle Creek Condo development.  Our wells pump around 177 million gallons of water a year for residential, commercial, and industrial uses.

The water is treated with chlorine and is tested daily. It is sampled and tested at the county’s health dept. every 2 weeks and tested by the state throughout the year.

The Water Department is operated and maintained by three state certified licensed operators with a combined experience of over 45 years.

Normal working hours are 7:00 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. Monday through Friday.  Summer hours 6:00 a.m. to 2:30 p.m.are in effect for water department employees through August.

For Pevely residents experiencing any potable water related problems such as pressure, discoloration, odor, loss of service, or water leaks, contact City Hall Monday-Friday during regular business hours. We will help you solve your water issue.
